Revisiting Care Bears the Movie



Hello everyone!  I know you may think I am off my rocker for wanting to do a movie review about a movie I watched when I was 7 years old, but here it goes.  I was recently shopping on eBay late at night, and I came across this movie really cheap.  So I thought, "Why not? Maybe I can get some answers to questions about why this movie was so evil when I was a kid?  

The film starts out with the care bears are trying to help kids in the world learn how to show their feelings and want to share them with others. Also how to put others first instead of thinking about ourselves.  But there is a boy and he finds a book and the book promises that it will help him and make him rich.  But then the book tries to take over and wants him to do things that aren't right.  I know what my mom's intention was but the story is not about a boy and an evil book he wants to serve it is about good conquering over evil. 

Also how our Ego and subconscious will try to rule our lives or want us to do the wrong thing instead of caring about others and their feelings.  The care bears help 

NIcholas tries to take matters into his own hands by casting spells, thinking that is the way to live life,  but then he realizes he made a mistake.  Like many of us do, and many times it is too late to fix the damage we have already done.  

Those of us who are Christians don't need to curse movies like this; they give us subjects to talk about with our children.  Why did the boy want to trust the book instead of knowing what was right from wrong?  Do we want to do things for ourselves sometimes instead of doing them for God.  Is what we are doing right?     

For those of us who were kids during Care Bear popularity, share it with your kids, but I would recommend watching with them, especially if they are small and do scare easily.  We all need to be the Care Bear in someone else's life.

   This is a new story that analyzes the relationship between Douglas Kelley and Hermann Göring.  The film deals with the other suspects, but in a very small way.  The performances are spectacular.  Russel Crowe gives humanity to this monster of a man, Hermann Göring.   I was fascinated of how this monster could have a relationship with a psychiatrist in Douglas Kelley, who is played by Remi Malik.  The film shows the relationship between these 2 men and how they were trying to represent their countries over all view at the time.   The only conflict I see with any of the characters is how Goring didn't have emotion for other families that died, but still loved his own family and cared about them so much.  That is what a narcissist does.   It shows that Goring had disdain for his own family; his uncle was Jewish, but Goring would never admit it.  How his uncle took advantage of the Goring family when they were poor....

Revisiting Facing the Giants

  Fair use, https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?curid=7279051 Hello everyone,  I know this film has been analyzed and critiqued to death, but I thought I would give it a rewatch 19 years later.  Everyone commented on how the student at the beginning of the film transferred, and how it was a Christian School; the address doesn't matter, as it is a private school, so anyone can attend.  I think the filmmakers were trying to come up with a reason why or how they could have a student transfer to another school, and that is what they came up with.   Also, Coach Taylor is struggling with his finances, his car, the dryer doesn't work, and the house smells funny.  This is relatable to all of us, especially if we are going through a hard time.   When Coach Taylor is talking to his coaches in his office, the coaches comment that they will have another average season.  Then Coach Taylor says I am so sick of average seasons.  It brought up a t...

Fight or Flight Review

  This review is for those of you who like action movies and don't mind swearing and bloody gore, action, and fighting.  In no way would I recommend it for children, but if you like action, this is the film to see.   Fight or Flight, what can I say about it?  It says the producers of John Wick.  Well, it sure is.   Josh Hartnett is back!  Where has he been?  This just might be the film to get him back on track like Liam Neeson.  This gruesome action film is awesome.  Non-stop action for the duration of the film.  Hartnett plays a down-on-his-luck former Secret Service agent sent to find a criminal on a plane and bring them back to the United States.  The problem is, which Hartnett finds out rather quickly, is that so are 70 or 80 others on the plane, but they don't want to arrest her; they want to kill her.
