Force of Nature

Hello everyone back again with another Red box review.  You might have been by Red box and saw the advertisement for Force of Nature.  It stars Mel Gibson, Kate Bosworth, and Emile Hirsch.  This is your typical heist film.  During Hurricane Odessa in Puerto Rico a few gangster thugs are out to find stolen artwork from the second world war.  A routine desk jockey cop is called in to get citizens out of an apartment building.  They arrive at the building and there are residents who don't want to leave.  Mel Gibson is one of those residents.  He is a feisty retired cop who is on dialysis and doesn't want to leave the building.  He is being taken care of his daughter  (played by Kate Bosworth) who is a doctor and is trying to keep her dad healthy through the storm.  When the police show up to get them to leave the building, the gangsters show up.  Mel Gibson shows he still can be an action star even if he is getting up there in age.  This movie is a thrill ride in every way.  It has its ups and downs and you won't be disappointed when you watch this film.  I would give it 3 out of 4 Karate Chops.  It is not going to win any awards but it will give you a escape you may really need.  I would advise parents not to have their kids watch this film because of language and violence.  But if you want a ride please watch.  Make it a Red Box night tonight.  I am not sponsored by them, this is just a good thrill ride for us to have during this time of crisis.  Take Care and I'm out.

I do not have the rights to this poster it is used for fair use only.
