Sweetwater

Hey everyone this is Lance again with another movie review.  I came across this online and it seemed interesting.  This film is about Nat "Sweetwater" Clifton who was the first African American to play for the New York Knicks.  He was one of the three African American players to play in the NBA.

The film talks about change and how the times were changing in the 1950s.  The theme is throughout the film and maybe that is what we need to think about.  We need to analyze ourselves and find out who were are and what our values are.  This film has appearances by many famous actors such as Carl Elwes of Saw and Princess Bride fame, along with Richard Dreyfus, Jeremy Piven, and Kevin Pollack to name a few.

The drive for a man to go from the Harlem Globetrotters to the NBA reminds me of how many of us have dreams that many think are impossible.  But when we trust God and the talent he gives us then it can really happen.  We all need to be determined in what we are called to do in our lives.  See what God has for you.

You can watch Sweetwater online on various formats and I would recommend this to anyone.  It can be a great teaching tool for those who want their families to be taught you should love people for who they are and not the color of your skin.

Take care everyone.

Lance
