Hello everyone, what kind of story happens when a man is at the top of his game and he loses the Heavyweight Championship of the world and has a comeback?  Well, that is the life of George Foreman.  

This is a very well-made movie by Affirm Films along with the distribution by Sony Pictures.  This is a biopic made in an original way.  Most Christian movies try to shove the Gospel down your throat rather than trying to meet the needs of the masses.  There is a scene when a grandma comes up to George at church and asks him to train her grandson.  George is high and mighty like we preachers can be.  We like to toot our own horns instead of answering the needs of the people.  Then he blows the kid off and tells him all he needs is the Bible.  Well a week later that same kid is arrested in a robbery and put in jail. 

That is when George realizes that he needs to train again and also to start a youth center and help those who are less fortunate in Houston, TX.  This film is about getting to the top and then falling from grace and then finding God where you are at.  When George cries out for his sister that is when God finds a fighter he can use.  

Charles Stanley always used to say fight your battles on your knees.  We all should want to be like George Foreman to know that we can't do everything by ourselves.  We all need each other in order to accomplish the goals we have in our lives and also to answer the call we have on us.  

Now many people will bash this movie about the film quality and how it is not the best movie made but did it impact people that is the question.  I think it did.  I just checked Google and 97% of the people who watch it like it.  We all should want hope through George's story and we should let our lights shine like George did.  Take Care, everyone.

Bob Marley ONE LOVE

Now I know this is a little late but I saw this with my daughter on Valentine's Day.  I was my daughter's date.  I know she doesn't like me saying that but that is exactly what I was.  My wife was tired from work so I reluctantly agreed to go see this film about Bob Marley.  I had known the background of Bob Marley and that he died around 1980.  But it was still interesting to see his life on the big screen and see the beginnings of his iconic album EXODUS.  It also shows the relationship between him and his wife.   She stayed with him even though he had children with other women she still stuck by him.  Now that is a real woman.  The more I watched the film, the more I missed Haiti and the life I had there with my wife and family.  It made me remember when I first was dating my wife and how gitty we were for each other.   This film is interesting and was done under the supervision of Ziggy Marley who is Bob Marley's son, who is also one of the producers of the film.  Y

Land of Bad

This new film is now out in theaters.  For those of you who like Black Hawk Down and Asian action films, this may be up your alley.  There are 5 soldiers assigned to go into the bush of the Philippines to rescue one of their own.  It is up to the soldiers and one JSAT soldier who helps them control the drones above them.   This film has the Hemsworth brothers in a film together.  Liam is the main character called "Playboy and he makes sure that the drones land where they should on the ground.  Luke plays one of the other soldiers in the group.   This is an action-packed film that will keep you on the edge of your seat.  I really enjoyed the action sequences and the relationships with the soldiers with each other.  They tease the new fish but when they are in the thick of things they are all brothers.  The themes in this film are iconic.  The element of brotherhood for the soldiers and the sense of family is hinted throughout the film.  The one who steals the show is Russell Crowe

Godzilla x King Kong a new empire

  I saw this film a few weeks ago and I guess I figured it was time to do a review of it.  The film has amazing visuals and incredilble action scenes.  But it struggles with making a coherent story and makes you wonder if this new universe or whatever you call this new world of King Kong and Godzilla world will really work in the future.   It makes you wonder about the film and where it is going.  It felt like a action packed film but lacked the mystery and wonder of the original films.  But it is the second film in the franchise maybe the next film will give more coherence to the entire story.   See you at the movies.
